On Thursday, September 28, 2023 at approximately 1:22 AM, West Lafayette Police Department officers responded to the 500-block of Dodge St. West Lafayette, regarding a reported armed robbery that had just occurred.
Initial responding officers were able to determine that a male subject dressed in dark clothing and wearing a ski mask had reportedly approached a woman as she parked and exited her car. The subject reportedly displayed a handgun, demanded valuables from the victim, and then fled the area on foot.
WLPD officers, assisted by Purdue University Police officers, established a perimeter around the area and attempted to track the suspect using a police K9. The subject was not located but some of the victim’s property was found nearby and recovered.
