The Redevelopment Commission is opening a Request for Proposals to perform a traffic study to amend the recently created (2020) West Lafayette Downtown Plan’s traffic element.
The City of West Lafayette has experienced significant population growth in the past decade, both with our student-resident and full-time populations, and our redevelopment potential and current economic development considerations. As our community grows and changes, the City has identified the need to reevaluate the 2020 West Lafayette Downtown Plan: Transportation Improvements (Chapter 5) as amended to the Comprehensive Plan. The Comprehensive Plan recommends a number of improvements that would focus on the growth in the downtown and accomplish an orderly and logical network of street infrastructure.
