The agenda for the last meeting is not available. We last checked on May 13th, 2023.

And the recording appears to have failed. No video. No audio. No documents. Very difficult for the Public to understand what is going on.

Since we don’t have the latest agenda, here the one from the previous meeting on March 8th, 2023.

The last meeting contained an interesting presentation about the work of the committee. Very enlightening if you don’t follow this group. Let’s see what we can learn.
On the agenda…

What did you rank these improvement ideas? How were your ideas gathered for this priority exercise? Personally, if the rules of road were adopted by everyone, traversing the road would be much safer. There was an interesting chat on Next Door the other day about this very topic.

You would think that if the Internet was the preferred method, some surveys or a simple poll would have been pushed out. We couldn’t find one though, but if you know of one, let us know.
It appears that instead of engaging the public in the public setting, the presenter would like to use social media. And in particular, Facebook.

I am not sure of the greater context in this slide since the video from this meeting fails to load, too. It would appear that the various groups need some instruction on documenting their meetings.
If West Lafayette’s current accolades as a city for cyclists isn’t enough…

…never you fret. The committee has found this wonderful opportunity with Bloomberg. Up to $1,000,000 for projects.

Since the submission deadline was in February, does that mean we applied or that we want to? Without the current meeting’s information, it’s impossible to determine. We have made inquiries to see if we can receive the agenda and if the video can be salvaged.
The Bloomberg Initiative for Cycling Infrastructure (BICI) is setting out to identify the most ambitious and innovative proposals to improve cycling infrastructure from cities around the world. Led in partnership with the Global Designing Cities Initiative (GDCI), BICI will award 10 cities up to $1 million to accelerate delivery of these transformative projects.

BICI applications closed on February 3, 2023. Watch the recorded webinars about what was included in this opportunity.

We’ll have to find out. Stay tuned until next time.
